Director of theOrthopedic Oncology Center at the University of Pisa and Associate Professor at the University of Pisa Medical School. He specializes in musculoskeletal oncology, megaprosthetic and post-traumatic reconstructions, and is nationally recognized for his leadership in Patient Blood Management (PBM) and multidisciplinary care pathways (PDTA/POTA) for bone tumors and infections. He is an expert in managing complex skeletal defects due to tumors, trauma, or infection, and plays a key role in surgical training as a leading faculty in ATLS and orthopaedic trauma education programs. Dr. Andreani also serves as Vice-President and Team Leader of EMT-2 Toscana, a WHO-classified Emergency Medical Team, actively engaged in international humanitarian and disaster response missions under the EU Civil Protection Mechanism. His work bridges high-complexity surgery, academic mentorship, and global health preparedness.
