Title: Chromatin remodeling in cancer

Abstract

Chromatin remodeling is a key epigenetic process that regulates gene expression, cellular differentiation, and genome stability. Changes in chromatin structure and epigenetic regulation are increasingly recognized as significant contributors to cancer development and progression. In particular, the interaction between chromatin remodeling and cellular senescence has emerged as an important area of cancer research, with potential effects on tumor progression and antitumor immune responses.Cellular senescence is a biological process characterized by permanent cell-cycle arrest and accompanied by various molecular and functional changes. While senescence serves as an important tumor-suppressive mechanism by preventing the uncontrolled growth of damaged cells, senescent cells can also influence the tumor microenvironment by releasing signaling molecules. These secretions may affect surrounding cells, immune cell recruitment, inflammatory responses, and tumor development. This presentation will examine the molecular relationship between chromatin remodeling and cellular senescence in cancer, highlighting how epigenetic changes regulate cellular functions and tumor-associated processes. Special emphasis will be placed on chromatin organization, gene expression, senescence-related signaling pathways, and interactions between tumor cells and the immune microenvironment.Furthermore, the presentation will explore how alterations in chromatin architecture contribute to the initiation and maintenance of cellular senescence and how these mechanisms influence tumor progression and immune surveillance. Understanding these interactions may provide valuable insights into cancer biology and help identify potential molecular targets for future therapeutic research.Overall, this topic highlights the importance of understanding epigenetic regulation and cellular senescence as interconnected mechanisms in cancer progression. It also emphasizes their potential role in shaping the tumor microenvironment and supporting the development of innovative cancer treatment strategies.
